So, I was woken at an ungodly hour of the morning today to the news that there was a baby koala in our yard and that our stupid bloody dog had mauled its mother. D:< At first I thought that she had been killed, but no. Her foot looked to be badly injured, and she had retreated up a tree, sans-baby.
Well, we couldn't leave the poor little thing to freeze, could we? We named her (the animal rescue people [who totally deserve a medal for getting there so quickly!] told us that the widdle bubby was a girl, which totally explains why she was so polite and well-behaved) Fang, because we're aussies and we do stuff like that >__>;
She didn't mind at all getting cuddled, so long as we didn't walk around too much (can you blame her? tree's don't move!) and didn't cling so tightly that those large, non-retractable claws caused us bodily harm. The first picture is of my dad cradling her, the second was taken when we put her in the tree (thinking she'd go back to her mum, but she was so young she didn't have the strength) and the third pic is her falling asleep in my arms <3
Baby koalas have a lovely, soapy kind of smell. I envy them.
But now its over, mum was harrassed with a plastic bag until she came down the tree (her "help me!" noise was rather pretty, but her "KILL J00" noise was a lot like hearing a bulldog savage something O.O) baby was bundled up and they were both taken to the animal shelter and all I can think is "OMG MAGICAL EXPERIENCE MUST TELL EVERYONE"
Aww, I'd be really flattered except it was really all thanks to my Dad! >__>; If it wasn't for him I would have probably slept through the whole thing D:
As for her being well behaved because she's a girl is kind of awkward for me because female animals have issues with me. XD Most will attack me being a baby or not. Thus why I have mostly male pets.
Hehe, I actually found out later that she was being so well behaved because she was hungry D: But now they're both well recovered and living back in the bush. ^__^ Yay for happy endings!
Don't think this is just another news article with the usual love deviations that have already hundreds of favorites! All of these deviations don't have even 100 favorites & they're the best!
Please watch them closely and show your appreciation! @

Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
